Xiaomi Mijia Wireless Floor Scrubber 5 Pro offers 40 minutes of battery life

Xiaomi has expanded its line-up of home appliances with the upright wet-and-dry vacuum cleaner, the Mijia Wireless Floor Scrubber 5 Pro. The new model is already listed on JD.com for 2,499 yuan ($365), while early buyers can get it for 2,149 yuan ($315). Sales are set to begin on 19 April.

The device is designed to tackle floors by washing and suctioning up dirt at the same time. Xiaomi states suction power of up to 26,000 Pa, along with steam delivery at 160°C to help loosen grime, sterilise surfaces and clean the floor. The model also includes a hot-water self-cleaning function operating at 100°C.

Battery life is 40 minutes

According to Xiaomi, the battery provides up to 40 minutes of use, which should be enough for a typical household clean.
