Xiaomi has introduced the Mijia Wireless Floor Scrubber 5 Pro, a cordless floor-washing machine. The device is set to go on sale on 19 April at a reduced price of 2,149 yuan ($314).

High-temperature steam cleaning with the Mijia Wireless Floor Scrubber 5 Pro

The Mijia Wireless Floor Scrubber 5 Pro uses 160°C high-temperature steam to lift stains, bacteria and grime without harming the floor. It delivers 2,850 mg of steam per minute for quicker cleaning, uses a 300 W boiler, and includes blue illumination to improve visibility in darker areas.

The machine also features 26,000 Pa suction. Xiaomi has fitted it with a high-speed roller brush that spins at 400 rpm, along with a comb shaped like “shark teeth” and a four-layer anti-tangle protection system.

Self-cleaning, hygiene and drying

For after-care, the floor scrubber includes a 100°C boiling-water self-cleaning system. This disinfects the roller brush and internal parts after each use, helping to maintain hygiene and remove odours. A high-temperature drying system is designed to stop mould forming on the roller brush and to prevent moisture build-up. The unit also uses a five-level moisture control system to reduce leftover water on the floor.

Modes, handling, battery life and tanks

The Floor Scrubber 5 Pro offers several operating modes, including standard, steam, water-absorption, and high-power. A centrally positioned motorised auxiliary wheel enables 360-degree turning.

A low centre of gravity is intended to make the scrubber easier to manoeuvre, while a 4,000 mAh battery provides up to 40 minutes of runtime per charge-enough to clean up to 340 square metres.

The floor scrubber has separate water tanks: a 1,000 ml clean-water tank and a 700 ml dirty-water tank. It comes with an LED display and voice prompts.
