Xiaomi unveils Mijia Washing Machine Drum 10Kg Ultra-Thin Fully Embedded with 3-year warranty and 10-year motor warranty

Xiaomi has unveiled a new washing machine, the Mijia Washing Machine Drum 10Kg Ultra-Thin Fully Embedded. The model is already listed on JD.com with a price tag of 1,199 yuan (US$175) and is designed for a fully built-in installation.

With a cabinet depth of 516 mm, the new unit is intended to make fitting it into kitchen or utility recesses easier. Maximum load capacity is 10 kg.

The machine also comes with a 525 mm diameter drum, offers 24 wash programmes and, according to the manufacturer, can deal with 35 types of stubborn stains. The motor uses direct drive: the whole machine is covered by a three-year warranty, while the motor carries a ten-year warranty.

Xiaomi Pengpai smart home integration

The appliance supports the Xiaomi Pengpai ecosystem and can be controlled via the brand’s mobile app and/or Xiaomi smart speakers. Integration with other smart home devices is also stated: once a wash cycle finishes, Xiao Ai can send a command for a tumble dryer or a drying rack to lower down, and it can also automatically switch on lighting in the bathroom or kitchen to make unloading more convenient.

In addition, Xiaomi also introduced two models of very inexpensive refrigerators today.
