Xiaomi has unveiled a new smart-home device, the Smart Door Lock G100, which is already listed on the Youpin platform for roughly $160.

The lock uses a Class C cylinder with reinforced anti-burglary protection, plus tamper sensors and alerts if the door is left slightly ajar. Inside, there’s a finance-grade security chip that encrypts data and is designed to resist attacks.

An AI-powered fingerprint scanner unlocks in 0.5 seconds with 99.29% accuracy, and it improves recognition over time. In total, there are 9 ways to unlock, including NFC, Bluetooth, passcodes, and an emergency key.

HyperOS Connect, Mijia app control, and power

The lock works with HyperOS Connect and the Mijia app, enabling access management and smart-home automation scenarios. It runs for up to 12 months on four AA batteries and includes a USB-C port for emergency power.
