Xiaomi Mijia Air Conditioner Eco: four new models from 2.6 to 7.0 kW may be coming to Europe

Xiaomi has added four new Mijia Air Conditioner Eco models to its global website, suggesting they may go on sale in Europe soon.

The new units come in four power variants: 2.6 kW, 3.5 kW, 5.2 kW and 7.0 kW. Xiaomi says every version can begin cooling a room in 30 seconds, and can start heating in 60 seconds. Depending on the model, the air conditioners are intended for spaces ranging from 10–20 m² up to 50–70 m².

Energy efficiency and Mijia AI Energy Saving Mode

The company is putting the spotlight on efficiency. These air conditioners include the proprietary Mijia AI Energy Saving Mode, which Xiaomi claims can cut electricity consumption by up to 24.5% (for the 3.5 kW version).

Fan sizes, controls and Xiaomi Home features

The 2.6 kW and 3.5 kW versions are fitted with a 108 mm fan, while the higher-powered models use a 118 mm fan.

Control is available via a remote, the Xiaomi Home app, and voice commands through Google Assistant. In the app, you get energy-use monitoring, over-the-air updates, filter-cleaning reminders, sleep mode settings, a dehumidification mode, a timer, and automatic restart after a power outage.

Xiaomi has not yet said exactly when the new models will be available, or what they will cost.
