Xiaomi has started selling its new floor-standing air conditioner, the Mijia Air Conditioning Giant Power Saving Pro Soft Wind Version Vertical Large 3 HP. On JD.com, it is priced at 5499 yuan ($800), while in some regions the cost drops to 4655.45 yuan ($675) when state subsidies are applied.

Airflow, room coverage and noise levels

The unit is designed for larger spaces, including living rooms and generously sized bedrooms. It features a 181 mm-wide air duct and delivers airflow of up to 1760 m³/h. Xiaomi lists the noise level from 42 dB(A).

Energy efficiency: Mijia Lingyun AI algorithm and APF 5.31

Xiaomi is highlighting the model’s energy-saving performance. According to the company, the air conditioner uses the Mijia Lingyun energy-saving algorithm, which applies AI to adjust operation based on load and can reduce power consumption by up to 45%. The APF energy-efficiency rating is 5.31, with estimated savings of up to 884 kWh per year.

Updates, Mijia ecosystem support and Xiaomi Pengpai smart linking

The model also supports over-the-air updates, works with the Mijia ecosystem, and includes Xiaomi’s proprietary Xiaomi Pengpai smart connectivity system, enabling the air conditioner to link with other smart home devices.
